Health & Safety Manager (Construction)

About the role
Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to drive a positive safety culture across all levels of the business. You will lead risk assessments, develop and implement HSE policies, and ensure compliance with legislation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update health and safety policies, procedures and practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, industry best practice and client requirements.
- Deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to staff and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses, produce reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Required profile
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); Diploma preferred.
- Proven experience in a health and safety management role, preferably within construction.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to influence and engage with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
