Health & Safety Manager – Manufacturing (Onsite)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead safety and process improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operation in Birmingham. The role is pivotal to maintaining our strong safety record as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Own site health & safety compliance and oversight.
• Conduct, review and manage risk assessments.
• Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Drive 5S and continuous improvement programmes.
• Train and support production staff on safe working practices.
• Ensure production processes are safe, efficient and compliant.

Required profile

• IOSH Managing Safely certification (essential).
• Proven experience in health & safety, risk assessments and SOP development.
• Knowledge of 5S methodology.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Confident delivering training to staff.
• Desirable: NEBOSH qualification.
