Health Visitor – Children & Families

About the role

The Health Visitor will join the Children and Families Health Visiting team to provide high‑quality, needs‑led support to children and young people, helping them achieve the best possible start in life. Working from Castlemilk Health Centre, the role is fully integrated with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde services and partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, needs‑led, evidence‑based health‑visiting care to children and families within an assigned caseload.
• Collaborate with health professionals and partner organisations to support families in line with the Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) framework.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with PVG Scheme membership and Disclosure Scotland checks.

Required profile

• Registered Health Visitor or Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s licence.
