HealthClub Cleaner

About the role

As a HealthClub Cleaner at Babington House, you will ensure that all member‑facing and back‑of‑house areas are kept immaculate, hygienic and ready for use. Working closely with the Housekeeping and Facilities teams, you will maintain high standards of cleanliness across lounges, washrooms, changing rooms, offices and event spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms and shared spaces.
• Sanitise high‑touch points such as door handles, counters and handrails.
• Replenish consumables including soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
• Support deep‑cleaning and periodic maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and products in a safe, organised condition.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns or low supplies.
• Respond promptly to spills, accidents or urgent cleaning requests.
• Follow health & safety, hygiene and COSHH regulations.
• Provide courteous and professional service to members and colleagues.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years’ experience in a busy, high‑profile hospitality or public venue.
• Reliable, friendly and self‑motivated.
• Understanding of cleaning techniques and hygiene protocols.
• Comfortable working as part of a team to achieve high standards.

Required skills

• Use of vacuum cleaners.
• Operation of floor scrubbers.
• Handling of mops and related cleaning tools.
