HGV Class 1 Driver – Night Shift

About the role

Join Maritime Transport’s Distribution Division as an HGV Class 1 Driver on a night‑shift roster (4 on / 4 off). You will operate first‑class vehicles and trailers, delivering goods across the South East England region while benefiting from a supportive, award‑winning team.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy goods vehicles safely on night routes, adhering to all road and company regulations.
• Perform curtain‑side loading, genset handling, splitter operations and ADR‑qualified tasks where required.
• Complete mandatory breaks and record keeping, including driver CPC and mileage logs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any defects promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum two years recent C+E / Class 1 driving experience.
• Full, clean UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Ability to work night shifts on a 4 on / 4 off pattern.
• Commitment to safety and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• C+E licence (Class 1)
• ADR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Driver CPC qualification
• First Aid training

• £40,000 annual salary (visible) with overtime rates of £17.50‑£26.88 per hour.
