About the role
Berry Recruitment is looking for an HGV Class 1 driver to join a client in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The role starts as a 12‑week temporary assignment with the possibility of permanent employment. Shifts are 12‑hour day shifts with a one‑hour break and no overnight stays. Training is provided for new‑pass and inexperienced drivers.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle on assigned routes.
- Follow health, safety and road‑traffic regulations while on duty.
- Complete delivery paperwork and report any issues to the dispatcher.
Required profile
- New‑pass drivers are welcome.
- Maximum of six penalty points.
- No driving bans.
- Valid CPC and TACHO cards.
Required skills
- HGV Class 1 licence.
- CPC card.
- TACHO card.

- PAYE employment with competitive hourly rates (£18‑£23 hour, overtime up to £45.81 hour).
