HGV Class 2 Driver – Flexible Weekday Shifts

About the role

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting experienced Class 2 and 7.5 tonne drivers for a leading commercial vehicle rental client. The position offers flexible weekday work, Monday to Friday, with start times from 07:30 and an average ten‑hour day.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and collect vans, 7.5 tonne and Class 2 vehicles across the South Coast.
• Carry out vehicle shunting duties within the yard when required.
• Provide a professional service to commercial customers at every stage.
• Maintain an average working day of around 10 hours, starting at 07:30.

Required profile

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence held for at least one year.
• Valid CPC and Digi‑Tacho card.
• Own transport for commuting to and from the site.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Experience using POD (Proof‑of‑Delivery) systems.
• Ability to operate a Digi‑Tacho card.
