HGV Class 2 Driver – Home Delivery (Manchester)

About the role

Join Rapier as an HGV Class 2 Driver delivering fully assembled kitchens to customers' homes in the Manchester area. This physically demanding, two‑man crew role starts early, with vehicles loaded overnight and ready for morning deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver kitchens to the customer's chosen room within the agreed time window.
• Make phone calls to customers to provide accurate ETAs and record delivery details.
• Scan all products on delivery and report any parking issues to delivery support.
• Unload goods at the delivery point; loading is completed overnight.
• Maintain excellent time‑keeping and adhere to start times between 4 am and 6 am.
• Follow health‑and‑safety procedures and comply with scanning and documentation requirements.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with no more than six penalty points.
• Own transport for commuting to the depot.
• DBS check required.
• Ability to work early shifts, up to 12 hours, averaging a 48‑hour week.
• Physically fit for a demanding delivery role and flexible to cover peak periods.

Required skills

• Class 2 HGV driving licence.
• Proficiency with handheld scanning equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety compliance in a logistics environment.

What we offer

• £16.75 per hour (£41,808 pa) on a 48‑hour week.
