HGV Class 2 Refuse & Recycling Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our refuse and recycling team in Bristol. You will help keep the city clean while supporting environmental sustainability through reliable waste collection services.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 refuse and recycling vehicle.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Collect, load and unload waste and recycling materials, handling bins up to 25 kg.
• Use mobile technology to complete operational paperwork and route information.
• Provide support to other service areas such as garden waste collections when required.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and customer service at all times.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Good knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations and road transport legislation.
• Positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness to lift and manoeuvre loads up to 25 kg safely.
• Commitment to health and safety.

Required skills

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Knowledge of tachograph regulations.
