HGV Driver – Trial Member

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, permanent HGV Driver to join Suma’s employee‑owned cooperative in Avonmouth. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods safely while providing excellent customer service and representing the co‑op on every journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and collect goods safely, legally and efficiently following planned routes.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Assist with route planning and adhere to scheduled timings.
• Record temperature checks for chilled and frozen deliveries.
• Maintain accurate run notes, compliance records and follow drivers’ hours legislation.
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and refuelled.

Required profile

• Valid HGV licence with relevant driving experience.
• CPC qualification.
• Strong communication and time‑management abilities.
