About the role
This is a brand‑new Higher Level Pharmacy Assistant position at the launch of a Pharmacy Supply & Dispensing Hub in Swandean, Worthing. You will support the safe and efficient supply of medicines across inpatient, urgent‑care and community services within a modern NHS environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support dispensing of inpatient, outpatient and discharge prescriptions.
- Assemble and supply ward stock medicines.
- Receive, store and rotate medicines safely, monitoring stock levels and expiry dates.
- Assist with controlled drug processes in line with policy.
- Use electronic dispensing and tracking systems to record activity.
- Communicate with clinical teams to ensure timely supply of medicines.
Required profile
- Level 2 Pharmacy Service Skills qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
- Experience working with medicines in a hospital, community or retail pharmacy setting.
- Organised, accurate and able to work in a busy environment.
- Willingness to develop a career within NHS pharmacy services.
Required skills
- Proficiency with electronic dispensing and tracking systems.
