About the role
This position is for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who will act as a Cover Supervisor in a large primary school in Wembley. It is designed for candidates who want to progress toward Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while gaining hands‑on classroom experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead whole‑class lessons when the class teacher is absent.
- Deliver targeted small‑group and intervention teaching.
- Support planning, preparation and assessment activities.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to map out a pathway to teacher training.
Required profile
- Current HLTA or graduate teaching assistant seeking career progression.
- Confidence in leading both small groups and whole classes.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Ambition to complete teacher training and achieve QTS.
