Hospital Chef – Full‑time (Winfield Hospital)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join the catering team at Winfield Hospital, a leading private hospital on the outskirts of Gloucester. The role is full‑time, working across a 7‑day shift pattern, and involves preparing, cooking and serving high‑quality meals for patients, staff, consultants and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of meals in accordance with hospital standards.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards throughout food preparation and service.
• Work flexibly across a 7‑day shift schedule, covering kitchen opening hours from 07:00 to 17:30.
• Collaborate with the catering team to ensure consistent service quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience working as a Chef.
• Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certification.
• Warm, considerate and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Flexible, positive attitude.
