Hospital Cleaning Supervisor – Environmental Services

About the role

Hospital Cleaning Supervisor role within Cleveland Clinic London's Environmental Services team, overseeing cleaning operations across multiple hospital sites on a rotating schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the team to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements such as CQC, Joint Commission and cleaning accreditations.
• Recruit, supervise and manage the cleaning team, including absence management, appraisals and performance reviews.
• Maintain performance management plans and ensure timely communication with direct reports and caregivers.
• Coordinate training to uphold high standards and health‑and‑safety compliance, including COSHH documentation.
• Support departmental projects across four Cleveland Clinic locations and drive continuous improvement in health and safety.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in a related field.
• Previous environmental services or housekeeping experience, preferably within healthcare.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work with multiple technology systems (Excel, Word, Visio, Microsoft Teams, Kronos, Workday, Epic).
