About the role

Rowlands Pharmacy is looking for a dedicated pharmacist to join its team at Harrogate District Hospital. You will work in a collaborative hospital environment, providing medication expertise and patient‑centred care while developing specialist skills through extensive training.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Provide medication counselling and answer patient queries.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Offer advice on over‑the‑counter medicines and health‑care products.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Proven pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Current knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare trends.
• Flexible and positive approach to problem‑solving.
