Hostel Services Manager – Supported Accommodation

About the role

The Hostel Services Manager will oversee the delivery of supported accommodation for a housing association in Bedfordshire, ensuring safe, high‑quality support and positive outcomes for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of supported accommodation services, maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Manage, mentor and develop Team Leaders, the Hostel Coordinator and specialist Support Coaches.
• Drive service excellence through performance management, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Oversee operational performance including voids, rent collection, arrears, tenancy sustainment and service KPIs.
• Lead safeguarding, risk management, complaints handling and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate systems, records and audits for tenancy management and financial control.
• Develop partnerships with local authorities and external agencies to support service development.
• Manage service budgets, income and performance reporting to meet financial targets.
• Promote resident engagement and adherence to health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Strong management experience within social care, housing, supported accommodation or a related support service environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

• Full UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Salary between £40,000 and £42,500 per year.
• Essential car user allowance plus mileage reimbursement.
• Permanent contract with a 37‑hour week, Monday‑Friday.
