Housekeeping Assistant

About the role
The Housekeeping Assistant will help keep Kingfisher House Care Home clean, safe and welcoming for residents and staff. Working in a beautiful riverside setting, you will support both cleaning and laundry services, contributing directly to the comfort and dignity of our residents.
Key responsibilities
- Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of corridors, kitchens and public spaces.
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and correctly labeling clothing and linens.
- Follow infection‑control, health and safety, and housekeeping procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team to ensure a well‑organised environment.
Required profile
- Positive, reliable attitude.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clear communication skills.
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control is a plus.
Required skills
- Basic operation of cleaning equipment.
- Use of laundry machines and ironing equipment.

- £12.71 per hour on a full‑time contract.
- Pension scheme, paid PVG, uniform provided.
