Housekeeping Assistant

About the role

The Housekeeping Assistant will help keep Kingfisher House Care Home clean, safe and welcoming for residents and staff. Working in a beautiful riverside setting, you will support both cleaning and laundry services, contributing directly to the comfort and dignity of our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, kitchens and public spaces.
• Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and correctly labeling clothing and linens.
• Follow infection‑control, health and safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider care team to ensure a well‑organised environment.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clear communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic operation of cleaning equipment.
• Use of laundry machines and ironing equipment.
