Housing Disrepair Solicitor – £40k‑£60k (Whitefield)

About the role

We are seeking a Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join our established law firm in Whitefield. You will work within a supportive team, handling a varied caseload of housing disrepair and property litigation matters from instruction to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a busy caseload of housing disrepair claims, ensuring compliance with protocols and court deadlines.
• Prepare letters of claim, particulars of claim, defenses, witness statements, schedules of loss and other litigation documents.
• Liaise with surveyors, environmental health officers, medical experts and other professionals to gather and assess evidence.
• Negotiate with landlords, housing associations and opposing parties, attend hearings and compile trial bundles.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year PQE with fee‑earning experience in housing disrepair or claimant civil litigation.
• Familiarity with the Housing Conditions Pre‑Action Protocol is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of CPR and litigation procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently on a busy caseload.

Required skills

• Proficient use of case management systems (e.g., Proclaim or similar).
