Housing Support Assistant – Night

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Housing Support Assistant to work night shifts within a supported housing service in Walthamstow. You will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, delivering friendly service while helping tenants maintain their tenancies and develop independent living skills.

Key responsibilities

• Greet residents, visitors and contractors, answering calls, emails and handling post.
• Process payments, record repairs and report maintenance issues.
• Conduct health, safety and wellbeing checks throughout the building.
• Log incidents, anti‑social behaviour and safeguarding concerns.
• Provide information, guidance and sign‑posting to external services.
• Assist with resident move‑ins, sign‑ins and general enquiries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely repairs and a safe environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housing, supported living, reception or customer service.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Calm under pressure and able to manage challenging situations.
• Right to work in the UK and able to pass a DBS check.
• Flexible to work a rota that includes weekdays and weekends.
