About the role
This is a 6‑month fixed‑term opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join a values‑led organisation in Exeter. You will provide day‑to‑day HR advisory support while also leading project work that strengthens people processes and employee engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert HR advice and independently manage employee‑relations cases covering absence, performance, conduct and wellbeing.
- Lead the delivery of a staff survey, analyse feedback and support managers in turning insights into action.
- Review, redesign and improve onboarding, induction and off‑boarding processes.
- Support broader People‑team initiatives such as internal communications, learning & development activities, policy updates and HR reporting.
Required profile
- Previous experience at HR Advisor level with the confidence to operate autonomously.
- Strong track record of managing employee‑relations casework independently.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Ability to build credibility quickly and thrive in a changing environment.

What we offer
- Salary of £37,000 FTE per year.
- Hybrid and flexible working – no more than one day per week in the office.
