HR Advisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our collaborative People Team in Bristol. You will work closely with senior leaders and managers, providing expert guidance on employee relations and people matters while contributing to wider HR projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional HR advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations issues.
• Manage employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability matters.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and employment practices are applied consistently and in line with current legislation.
• Advise on pay, terms and conditions of employment.
• Support organisational change initiatives and broader people projects.
• Build positive working relationships across the organisation as a trusted HR partner.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, processes and best practice.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR compliance.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards it) or equivalent HR advisory experience.
• Previous experience as an HR Advisor, especially handling employee relations casework.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment law, HR policies and GDPR requirements.
• Experience advising on pay, terms and conditions of employment.
• Proven ability to resolve complex employee relations cases with practical, outcome‑focused solutions.

• Salary range £36,500 – £40,000 per year.
