HR Advisor

About the role

The HR Advisor will provide proactive, commercially‑focused HR support across the business, working closely with managers and employees to help achieve organisational objectives. This role reports to the HR Business Partner and also offers cover for the Training & Reception Coordinator as required.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day HR advice on employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, probation and performance matters.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes, ensuring a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers.
• Coordinate employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, probation reviews, contractual changes and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems in line with GDPR and employment legislation.
• Produce and analyse HR metrics and management information to support business decision‑making.
• Support the development, implementation and review of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
• Lead or contribute to HR projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with service providers, recruitment agencies and suppliers to ensure commercial value and effective service delivery.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of training and development events.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience providing HR advice and support in a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation, GDPR requirements and HR best practice.
• Proven ability to manage recruitment and employee‑lifecycle processes.
• Excellent analytical skills for producing HR metrics and reports.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building skills across all business levels.
