HR Advisor – Manufacturing Site

About the role

We are looking for a proactive HR Advisor to join our busy manufacturing site in Glasgow. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will act as a trusted partner for both employees and managers, helping to drive engagement, wellbeing and consistent HR practice across a workforce of around 400 staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice on policies, procedures and employee relations matters.
• Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance cases.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee development initiatives.
• Coach managers on HR best practice and compliance.
• Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing programmes and site‑wide projects.
• Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and documentation.
• Collaborate with the wider HR team to ensure a positive employee experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a generalist HR Advisor or similar role.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments.
• Strong employee‑relations expertise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build credibility at all organisational levels.
• Positive, approachable and engaging personality.
