HR Advisor – Support Managers & Drive People Strategy

About the role

We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our client’s team in Rayleigh. In this permanent, full‑time position you will help create a supportive workplace by advising managers and driving HR initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide coaching and policy‑driven advice to managers on employee relations.
• Support organisational change consultations and make HR recommendations.
• Work with the HR Manager to develop and improve HR policies and procedures.
• Design and deliver training programmes for managers and staff.
• Prepare documentation and contracts of employment in line with regulations.
• Guide managers on short‑ and long‑term absence management and maintain absence records.
• Produce monthly absence and HR data reports for senior management.
• Maintain the e‑learning system and respond to related queries.
• Prioritise and resolve a variety of HR queries, keeping an up‑to‑date case log.
• Undertake ad‑hoc projects that contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing HR advice and support to managers.
• Good knowledge of employee relations, absence management and HR reporting.
• Experience developing HR policies, procedures and training materials.
• Ability to prepare employment contracts and maintain accurate HR documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple HR queries.
