HR Business Partner – Retail Sector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a fast‑moving retail client in North London. This permanent, full‑time position will support approximately 100 independent supermarkets across the country, providing strategic HR guidance and day‑to‑day employee relations support.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR Business Partner for the retail side of the business.
• Deliver HR support to a network of small supermarkets, advising on policies, absence management and organisational change.
• Guide and manage TUPE transfers and business restructures.
• Handle employee relations cases, including disciplinary matters, policy breaches and absence issues.
• Collaborate with Assistant Business Partners, offering coaching and practical assistance.

Required profile

• Recent, hands‑on experience working in the retail industry.
• Proven track record managing TUPE processes and organisational change.
• Strong understanding of employee relations and HR best practices.
• Ability to work autonomously while supporting a dispersed team of supermarkets.
