HSE Manager – Electronics Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives for a forward‑thinking electronics manufacturing business in Tewkesbury. This senior position provides visible leadership, ensures compliance with UK legislation and drives a culture where safety and environmental protection are top priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the principal SHE authority, governing the SHE Management System in line with ISO 45001.
• Develop and maintain risk‑assessment frameworks, COSHH, Permit‑to‑Work, Management of Change and contractor safety processes.
• Lead Process Safety Management, HAZOP studies and high‑risk task assessments.
• Oversee DSEAR compliance, accident/near‑miss investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Set, monitor and report SHE performance KPIs, producing dashboards and Board reports.
• Manage environmental compliance, including effluent, waste, emissions and energy controls, and liaise with the Environment Agency.
• Coordinate external regulatory inspections, customer audits and ISO/SHE audits.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in health, safety and environmental management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK SHE legislation and industry standards.
• Ability to influence senior managers and embed a “HSE First” culture.
