About the role
We are seeking a proactive Human Resources Officer to join our growing organisation. In this people‑focused position you will support day‑to‑day HR operations across multiple sites and the Head Office, acting as the first point of contact for line managers and employees.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational HR support across sites and Head Office.
- Guide line managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and legislation.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from advertising to onboarding.
- Maintain HR records in the HR system and support statutory reporting (Annual Monitoring Return, Article 55 Review).
- Assist with disciplinary and grievance investigations, hearings and documentation.
- Handle absence management reporting and analysis.
- Produce HR reports and statistics as required.
- Contribute to training, learning initiatives and broader HR projects.
- Drive employee communication, engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the HR department.
Required profile
- Associated CIPD membership Level 3 (essential) and CIPD Level 5 (desirable).
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a busy HR environment.
- Experience using HR software.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable.
- Full, clean UK driving licence (desirable).
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite – Outlook, Word and Excel.
