Humanities Teacher – West London Secondary Schools

About the role
Academics is seeking enthusiastic Humanities Teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and, where applicable, 5 in secondary schools throughout West London. You will inspire students in subjects such as History, Geography and Religious Education while contributing to a supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver dynamic Humanities lessons for KS3‑KS5.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents.
- Contribute to raising attainment and supporting student development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching one or more Humanities subjects at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is advantageous).
- Ability to teach History, Geography, Religious Education or a combination of these subjects.
- Passion for delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Commitment to student progress and attainment.
