Hybrid Nurse Functional Assessor – SEP WCA

Maximus is looking for a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Registered Mental Health Nurse who wants professional growth, flexible working and a better work‑life balance. As a Nurse Functional Assessor you will use your clinical expertise to understand how a person’s disability or health condition impacts daily life.

Key responsibilities

• Assess complex cases involving physical, mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders.
• Interpret how disabilities affect customers’ everyday activities and produce detailed reports.
• Provide compassionate guidance to help customers move forward with their lives.
• Participate in a tailored training programme and receive ongoing mentorship.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of post‑registration adult or mental health experience (NHS or other).
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
