Hygienist – Night Shift (4 on 4 off)

About the role

Join the onsite Hygiene Team at IPL’s largest produce site in Sittingbourne. This permanent night‑shift position works a 4‑on‑4‑off roster (7 pm‑7 am) and is focused on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the factory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all daily cleaning procedures according to the washer area cleaning schedule.
• Clean two grader lanes each evening.
• Ensure floor areas and grids under washers are cleaned, removing all potatoes.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations and store them neatly in the correct cupboards.
• Complete daily paperwork and report any issues or damage to leaders.

Required profile

• Experience working in a factory environment.
• Previous hygiene experience (desirable).
• Understanding of health and safety policies.
• Ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Good team‑working skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to undertake any required training.
• Food Safety Level 1 or equivalent (desirable).
• COSHH certification (desirable).
