IAAS Level 2 Accredited Immigration Solicitor – London

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier firm recognised in The Legal 500 and Chambers, is expanding its immigration department and seeks IAAS Level 2 Accredited Immigration Solicitors for permanent positions based in London. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of immigration matters for corporate clients and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and lead immigration casework.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to solicitors, trainee solicitors and caseworkers.
• Supervise and manage a varied caseload, including detained clients, victims of trafficking, asylum applications, entry‑clearance and judicial review matters.
• Oversee preparation of funding applications and support complex appeals up to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
• Contribute to training and development programmes within the department.

Required profile

• IAAS Level 2 accreditation in immigration law.
• Significant experience handling business immigration, human‑rights, asylum and appeals.
• Proven ability to supervise junior lawyers and manage high‑complexity cases.
• Strong analytical and advocacy skills, with a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK immigration legislation and procedures.
• Experience with asylum and human‑rights claims, including tribunal and upper‑court advocacy.
• Ability to prepare and manage funding applications.
