Independent Construction Assessor (ICA) – Building Standards

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Independent Construction Assessor to join our Building Standards team, providing expert guidance, auditing and on‑site assessments to ensure compliance with Building Standards across the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of company policies, procedures and practices and deliver clear reports.
• Provide expert guidance to clients on current and emerging Building Standards legislation.
• Support on‑site warranty and quality inspections as required.
• Develop and expand the ICA function, mentor colleagues and promote high standards of ethics and professionalism.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience as an Approved Inspector in Building Control on commercial projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial Building Control and Fire Safety.
• Accredited membership of RICS, CABE or CIOB and NVQ Level 6 in Senior Site Inspection (or equivalent).
