Information Security Cloud Architect – AWS & Azure (Day Rate)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Cloud Consultant/Architect to join a hybrid team in Liverpool on a 3‑month contract (extendable). The role focuses on designing, assuring and implementing secure multi‑cloud environments across AWS and Microsoft Azure, supporting the client’s AI strategy, data platforms and new cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide security architecture consultancy for AWS and Azure projects.
• Review and assure cloud solution designs against security standards, policies and architecture principles.
• Develop secure reference architectures, patterns and guardrails for multi‑cloud environments.
• Support secure design of AI services, data platforms and production AI workloads.
• Conduct security design reviews across cloud applications, services and infrastructure.
• Identify security risks and deliver practical, proportionate remediation recommendations.
• Embed security‑by‑design principles throughout project delivery.
• Integrate cloud‑native security services with existing enterprise security capabilities.
• Produce clear security architecture, assurance and governance documentation.

Required profile

• Strong cloud security architecture experience in complex enterprise environments.
• In‑depth security knowledge across both AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ability to design multi‑cloud security controls, patterns and guardrails.
• Experience with cloud IAM, network security, data protection, encryption, logging and monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native security tooling and integration with enterprise security solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
