In‑house Corporate & Commercial Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced In‑house Corporate and Commercial Legal Counsel to join our client’s legal team in London. Reporting to the Head of Corporate and Commercial, you will act as a trusted adviser, providing commercial legal support and ensuring the business complies with relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial matters and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including sales, supplier, hosting, data‑transfer agreements and NDAs.
• Draft, review and execute commercial agreements, ensuring risk is appropriately managed.
• Respond to internal queries on data issues, overdue payments, IP matters and disputes.
• Identify data‑related risks and negotiate terms to ensure compliance with data protection legislation.
• Engage and manage external counsel when specialist advice is required.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Commercially astute and pragmatic, able to balance business and legal risk.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Expertise in contract law and commercial agreement drafting.
• Excellent negotiation abilities.
• Proven track record in managing commercial transactions.
