In‑house Employment Lawyer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a large, well‑established organisation’s in‑house legal team on a full‑time basis. The role is hybrid, requiring approximately two days per month in the Buckinghamshire office, and offers the chance to work on a varied caseload of both contentious and non‑contentious matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on Employment Tribunal claims from Early Conciliation through to final hearing.
• Handle disciplinary, grievance, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE and trade‑union matters.
• Draft and review contracts, policies, procedures, settlement agreements and other employment documentation.
• Deliver employment‑law training and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Manage external legal advisers and deliver pragmatic, risk‑based advice.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with at least 4 years PQE in employment law.
• Strong experience of Employment Tribunal proceedings.
• Excellent drafting and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to communicate practical legal advice to non‑legal audiences.
• Commercial, solutions‑focused approach; in‑house experience is advantageous but not essential.
