Injection Moulding Technician (Rotating Shifts)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join a growing manufacturing business in Stirchley, Birmingham. Working closely with the Technical Manager, you will help maintain right‑first‑time production, optimise machine performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up and condition injection moulding tools to meet production specifications.
• Run moulding orders using established programmes and process parameters.
• Monitor product quality, perform inspections and ensure compliance with customer standards.
• Respond to machine alarms, troubleshoot faults and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out routine maintenance on moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Support first‑line troubleshooting, process optimisation and new tool trials.
• Maintain accurate production records and update the Blackbird monitoring system.
• Operate a forklift truck where required and handle materials safely through stock control systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in injection moulding environments.
• Ability to work rotating shift patterns, including early‑morning starts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Willingness to support continuous improvement and training initiatives.
