Inquests Associate – NQ to Senior Associate (Legal)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated legal professional to join our Liverpool office as an Inquests NQ/Associate/Senior Associate. The role involves providing expert advice and representation on inquest matters, supporting clients through all stages of the legal process.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients in inquest proceedings, ensuring high‑quality legal support.
• Prepare case files, draft witness statements and submissions.
• Conduct legal research on complex inquest issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the department to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Manage a caseload of inquest matters, meeting deadlines and professional standards.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and external stakeholders.
• Attend court hearings and liaise with relevant parties.
• Contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the team.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex information.
• Experience managing a caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a professional services environment.
