Instrumentation and Electrical Technician – £45k-£60k

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team at a production and gas plant facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will support both routine and emergency maintenance activities across a range of process control equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, schedule and carry out routine and non‑routine maintenance checks and repairs.
• Service process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers and analysers.
• Assist with vendor‑specified maintenance and support equipment installations and commissioning.
• Perform equipment isolations safely and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with permits.
• Respond to 24‑hour call‑outs and provide advice on plant breakdowns when required.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of maintenance experience on instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Instrument qualification (apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3) with strong knowledge of electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of oil and gas operations and strong planning skills.
