Insurance Broker Accounts Technician (IBA)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Broker Accounts Technician to join our growing brokerage in Middlesex. The role offers flexibility to work on‑site, hybrid or remotely after an initial training period, and provides autonomy in managing client and insurer accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage insurer and client ledger processes accurately.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations, insurer statement reconciliations and resolve cash discrepancies.
• Use Acturis daily for payments, credit control, bordereaux and premium calculations.
• Monitor outstanding balances, chase client debt and maintain low bad‑debt levels.
• Process insurer settlements and maintain strong relationships with insurer accounts teams.
• Assist the Finance Manager with month‑end reports, IBA audit preparation and compliance checks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Insurance Broker Accounts experience.
• Deep operational knowledge of Acturis software.
• Understanding of FCA regulations on client money (CASS 5).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to commute to the Middlesex office for initial training and occasional meetings.
