Insurance Coach (ACII)

About the role

As an Insurance Coach (ACII) you will guide a cohort of apprentices through their learning journey, ensuring they meet the apprenticeship standards and achieve professional qualifications. You will work closely with line managers and other stakeholders to align development plans with employer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial skills assessments and tailor individual learning plans.
• Deliver induction presentations and manage onboarding administration.
• Facilitate monthly progress meetings, both on‑site and remotely.
• Lead group training sessions in line with curriculum and Ofsted requirements.
• Track apprentice progress against objectives, milestones and off‑the‑job training.
• Provide coaching for evidence collection and preparation for the End Point Assessment.
• Escalate concerns about progress or employer engagement to line manager.
• Contribute to business improvement projects that enhance learner experience.

Required profile

• Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII, Level 6) – essential.
• Experience in a coaching, tutoring or training role, or substantial insurance industry experience (underwriting, brokering, claims) with a track record of mentoring or team management.
• Apprenticeship experience is advantageous.
• Functional skills in maths and English at Level 2 or above.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and able to work independently.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities.
