Insurance Operations Assistant – London Market

About the role

We are seeking an Insurance Operations Assistant to join a leading underwriting business in the London market. The role provides operational support across underwriting and claims, ensuring accurate data processing and smooth transaction flow.

Key responsibilities

• Enter risk and aggregate data accurately into core systems.
• Perform quality control checks to guarantee completeness and compliance.
• Identify, investigate and resolve data discrepancies, escalating when necessary.
• Process and validate Underwriting Signing Messages (USM) and Signing & Claims Messages (SCM) within service level agreements.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support to underwriting teams, facilitating efficient transaction handling.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by spotting efficiency gains.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across business departments.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in the London market insurance sector, providing operational support.
• Understanding of delegated authority, open market business and related contractual nuances.
• Strong organisational ability, capable of managing own workload and supporting the wider team.
• Effective relationship‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• High analytical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail.
