Integration Architect / Developer

About the role

We are supporting a major transformation programme and need an experienced Integration Architect / Developer to shape and deliver a pragmatic integration strategy across a complex enterprise landscape. This role goes beyond building integrations – you will guide stakeholders, challenge requirements constructively, and ensure the right outcomes without friction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, robust integration solutions across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into practical integration designs.
• Provide expert guidance on integration best practices and help teams make informed decisions.
• Constructively challenge assumptions and push back where necessary.
• Review existing integrations to identify simplification, optimisation, and standardisation opportunities.
• Support architecture and delivery teams in defining integration standards and patterns.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering enterprise integrations within complex environments.
• Hands‑on expertise with MuleSoft, Boomi and Solace.
• Deep understanding of APIs, API management and integration design principles.
• Ability to operate technology‑agnostically, selecting the best solution for business needs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable influencing senior leaders.
• Experience working across both business and technical teams.

What we offer

• Day rate of £500‑£600 (outside IR35).
• Initial 12‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
• On‑site presence in Dorset once a month (hybrid working model).
