Intercompany Accountant – Record to Report

About the role

As an Intercompany Accountant within United Infrastructure's Record to Report team, you will maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations, and support month‑end close across multiple business units in the utility and social infrastructure sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Track and manage balances between trading partners and resolve disputes.
• Manage manual intercompany transactions (product and non‑product) and record them on both AP and AR sides.
• Prepare and post month‑end accruals and manage the netting process.
• Perform and review financial close activities, ensuring timely completion of close‑related tasks.
• Conduct account reconciliations and gather supporting documentation.
• Enable compliance with US GAAP, company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide audit support, preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Enter journals into the system and support the preparation of management accounts.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations at company‑wide, legal entity, or business‑area level as required.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with solid organisational skills to meet deadlines.
• Proven relationship‑building ability, communicating clearly with contacts from site finance assistants to group‑level directors.
• Technical background with a good understanding of controls, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Focus on meeting internal period‑end and external regulatory deadlines.
• Strong computer literacy and advanced Excel skills.
• Part‑qualified or QBE status.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude willing to get involved in day‑to‑day tasks.
