Interim Credit Control Clerk (2‑3 months)

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Credit Control Clerk to join a leading consultancy in Central London for a short‑term assignment of 2‑3 months. This temporary position supports the accounts receivable team by ensuring timely collection of customer payments and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate incoming customer payments accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor client accounts to confirm subscription payments are received on schedule.
• Contact medium‑sized enterprises and high‑street businesses via telephone and email to chase overdue payments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer account records and resolve payment queries promptly.
• Build professional relationships with business clients while supporting effective debt recovery.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any payment discrepancies.
• Support the broader accounts receivable function by processing financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth account management and high levels of customer service.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related finance function.
• Immediate availability or notice period of one week or less.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
