Interim Credit Control & Credit Manager

About the role

This interim position leads the credit control and credit management function for a fast‑growing, innovative business in Birmingham. You will operate autonomously, driving financial discipline while supporting the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end credit control and credit management processes.
• Lead, hire, train and develop a high‑performing credit team.
• Maintain financial controls, reporting, risk, governance and compliance.
• Drive change and transformation projects, including process‑improvement initiatives.
• Lead AI, automation and systems projects to enhance efficiency.
• Partner with senior and non‑financial stakeholders to align financial implications with strategic goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit management, credit control or accounts receivable.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership with an employee‑first mindset.
• Track record of delivering process‑improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
