Interim Financial Controller – Avonmouth

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Financial Controller to join a £60m turnover distribution business in Avonmouth for a 3‑4 month contract. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own cash‑flow forecasting, management accounts and related financial processes during a period of growth and site consolidation.

Key responsibilities

• Cash‑flow forecasting and variance analysis
• Preparation of the management accounts pack (P&L, balance sheet, sales reconciliations)
• AR/AP reconciliations to control accounts
• Accruals and pre‑payments across both businesses
• Inventory controls and fixed‑asset maintenance
• Line‑manage a junior team member

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (QBE) or equivalent
• Comfortable with stock reconciliations
• Experience with NetSuite is advantageous
• Ability to work to strict, fixed reporting deadlines
• Suitable candidates with equivalent qualifications and experience are welcome
