Interim Financial Controller – Data Centre Platform (Remote, UK)

About the role

This interim position supports the finance function of a fast‑growing data‑centre platform as it expands across Europe. Working remotely with occasional travel to London, you will partner with the Finance Director to build a scalable finance operation from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee transactional finance processes and manage outsourced finance providers.
• Handle invoice processing, AP/AR coordination and day‑to‑day finance operations.
• Assist with payroll, tax compliance and entity set‑up for new business structures.
• Design and implement finance processes, controls and governance frameworks.
• Support systems implementation and redesign legacy finance processes.
• Establish scalable reporting and operational finance capabilities to back growth and capital deployment.
• Prepare the business for significant private‑equity investment and CapEx‑heavy expansion.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent UK qualification.
• Experience in data‑centre, infrastructure, real‑estate or other CapEx‑intensive environments (preferred).
• Immediate or short‑notice availability.
• Proven senior finance or financial controller background in fast‑changing settings.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
• Experience with finance transformation, systems, controls and governance.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with leadership and external providers.
