Interim Financial Controller – Luxury Retail (London)

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing luxury retail brand in London. The role offers full ownership of month‑end, year‑end and management reporting, while providing strategic financial insight to support the business’s expansion across the UK and US.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team of four professionals.
• Own month‑end, year‑end, management reporting and audit processes.
• Produce insightful financial analysis to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance for UK and US operations.
• Drive process improvements, automation and ERP enhancements.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidations, tax and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• 4–5 years of post‑qualification experience in accounting and financial control.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
• Experience in retail, luxury, founder‑led or PE‑backed businesses is a plus.
