Interim Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting professional to join a multi‑site organisation in Surrey on an interim basis. This role will sit within a high‑performing finance team during a period of transformation, allowing you to make an immediate impact on reporting quality and control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements in line with UK accounting standards.
• Manage CapEx, fixed‑asset and investment‑related reporting, providing clear financial insight for decision‑making.
• Review and enhance financial reporting processes, controls and governance to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Act as the primary contact for internal stakeholders and external auditors throughout the reporting cycle.
• Support wider finance transformation projects and provide technical accounting expertise across the function.
• Mentor and guide finance team members to ensure timely delivery of reporting deadlines.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with extensive financial reporting experience.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in statutory reporting and capital expenditure accounting.
• Proven ability to quickly understand and improve processes in complex organisations.
• Experience operating in fast‑paced, changing environments and delivering results from day one.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; interim or contract experience is advantageous but not essential.

What we offer

• Day rate of £450‑£550, dependent on experience.
• Initial contract of up to 12 months.
• Hybrid working with a blend of office and home‑based days.
